Quick Set Essential Oil Cream

Finally, a quick set essential oil cream! A few months ago I posted this long narrative about how to make a pain cream or any other combo using coconut oil, essential oils, a stand mixed and a whole myriad of stuff. Who’s got time for that?! Not this girl!

I was asked to make a cream for a family member and literally had 10 minutes after church to get it done before we had to leave and genius hit! Why do I have to make 4? That’s way too much commitment for me! Why cant I just make one? So I did. Here’s how:

One small mason jar
Coconut oil
YL Essential Oils of Choice

So I spooned the coconut oil into the itty bitty mason jar, till it was about 90% full. I put it in the microwave (to save time but the sun works just as well, or a hot water bath) for about 30 seconds to melt.

Once it was all liquid, I added my essential oils. Now, most of this I have to fly by the seat of my pants because I’m making stuff that doesnt have a recipe yet on Pinterest! Haha

So, I used the recipe from my Essential Oils Desk Reference, multiplied it a few times and threw in some of every other oil I had that was listed for this ailment. Here’s the combo I ended up with:
20 drops Basil
5 drops Cistus
10 drops Helichrysum
5 drops Cypress
5 drops Panaway
5 drops Purification
5 drops Lemon
5 drops Peppermint

Now, like I said, I didnt have much time, so I sealed it up, shook it up, and put it in my insulated lunch bag with every ice pack I could find and hit the road. About an hour later it was back to solid and ready to be used!

So go make something up! Share it with a friend! Christmas gifts can’t get any more personal than that!
